Hi there! I am Ashlyn. I live in Virginia with my awesome husband and our two golden retrievers, AJ and Jeter. We live ten minutes from both of our families and I wouldn’t have it any other way. After we put in our forty hours at our day jobs we enjoy spending time with our friends and family. My husband is a huge sports enthusiast and I love long walks down every aisle in Target. I am also a firm believer in a trip to TJ Maxx does the soul well. My husband would disagree. Decorating and making our house a home is a huge passion of mine. I am always down for a Friday night Home Depot date to buy supplies for our next home project. My husband, on the other hand, would much prefer a quite night in watching a game of some sort, but he doesn’t complain to much.
It has always been a interest of mine to start a blog and after the recent death of my daughter I have come to realize that life is far to short to not pursue what you want. Cue the birth of Life Off Cedar Layne. The name of this blog was inspired by the most important things in my life; our life, our home; and our daughter Layne.
